INTERNATIONAL CHESS TOURNAMENT “OPEN KARPOSH” Skopje, 02-09 April 2011

 

 

  1. Municipality of Karposh and Chess Club Gambit Aseko-See organizing International Chess Tournament “Open Karposh” .
  2. The tournament will be held in Skopje, from 02-09 April 2011 according Swiss System (9 rounds). Games will be played in the assembly hall of the Municipality of Karposh, address : st.Demir Trajko without number,according following schedule:

  1. Prize fund is 8.800,00 € and it will be divided on 10 regular and 4 special prize.

 

Regular prizes (7.700,00 €) :

  3. place         1.000,00 €                   8.   place         300,00 €
  4. place         800,00 €                      9.   place         200,00 €

The prizes will be divided by Hort criteria.
The standings are determined by:

  1. number of scored points
  2. bucholz without the best and the weakest opponent
  3. bucholz (full)
  4. number of wins
  5. progressive score
  6. short progressive score

Special prizes (1.100,00 €):

  1. Best placed women’s  :
  2. place   500,00 €
  3. place   200,00 €
  4. Best placed junior (born 1993. and younger)                                           200,00 €
  5. Best placed unrated players and players with rating under 2200           200,00 €

These prizes can’t be divided.

Player can win two prizes(regular and special).

  1. The playing time will be 90 minutes for 40 moves plus 30 minutes for the rest of the game with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one. 
  2. Organiser will provide chess sets for all participants. 
  3. Tournament will be rated at FIDE.
  4. Entry fee is 30 Euro. GM and IM are not in obligation to pay entry fee. 
  5. Closing ceremony and prize awarding will take place 30 minutes after the last round.
  6. Accommodation is possible in the hotel „Skopje” :
  7. single room with breakfast                       40 €
  8. double room with breakfast                      60 €
  9. deluxe room with Jacuzzi and breakfast        60 €

 

Price per meal, lunch or dinner is 5 Euros.

The hotel Skopje (web site www.hotelskopje.com.mk) is situated in a four-floor object in the most beautiful part of the city on the st. Andon Dukov No. 27 in Skopje.
